The Camel Ride experience takes place in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, and includes transfers to and from your hotel or residence. Alongside a camel ride across the desert, you’ll stop for breakfast at our designated lakeside breakfast stop, see the sun take its place in the centre of the sky throughout your morning, and spot a world of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Your Camel Ride in Dubai experience takes place in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a natural habitat for the Arabian Camel. At a calm, steady pace, the camel shepherd for your activity will take you through the Reserve’s desert plains, in a throwback to the centuries of desert roaming camels are famous for. Your experience will include two 45–minute camel rides, with the return trek by camel being optional – please advise your preference before joining us for the activity.

The Camel Ride experience is scheduled for mornings, to take place as the sun continues to rise over the Dubai desert. Your itinerary will include a stop to watch the sun take its place over the desert, with breakfast served next to one of the DDCR’s many natural lakes as part of your activity. The stop will provide plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting – you could be in good company!

Know before you go

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes for this activity. As you will be spending time in the desert, we also suggest wearing suncream, and bringing sunglasses and a hat
  • While we endeavour to show you as much wildlife as possible, we cannot predict the movements of every species. Therefore, if some of the animals change their plans, we can’t guarantee you’ll spot them.

  • The minimum age to join the Camel Ride is 3 years old. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience

Cancellation policy

  • We understand that plans can change. If they do, please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your activity. We will not be able to process refunds for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before your activity starts
  • Full payment for your booking is required at least two days prior to your activity. If payment is not received before the expected date, we reserve the right to cancel your activity
  • In exceptional circumstances, we may have to amend the Camel Ride schedule or cancel the activity entirely. We reserve the right to amend and cancel activities in such circumstances, and will ensure we communicate any changes in advance where possible
